How does UCSF engage communities to address health equity?
The Center for Community Engagement (CCE) collaborates to increase health equity by bringing together science, underserved communities and other sectors including: health, education, government, business, and more. Together, we work to move the needle on community health.
A pulmonologist noticed that I had a certain insight with people. This experience is from volunteering as a first responder at Burning Man. Working with people who are going through “experiential difficulties.” You learn to be there for people who are different than yourselves.
