STOP COVID PROJECT
The UCSF program for the Share, Trust, Organize, Partner, COVID-19 California Alliance (STOP COVID-19 CA) was established in September 2020 with funding from the National Institutes of Health Community Engagement Alliance Against COVID-19 Disparities (CEAL). STOP COVID-19 CA includes eleven academic and healthcare systems across the state each in partnership with community stakeholders, focused on strengthening engagement of diverse communities to reduce COVID-19 inequities
In partnership with three community-based organizations, NICOS Chinese Health Coalition, Instituto Familiar de la Raza, and Rafiki Coalition for Health and Wellness, the UCSF STOP COVID team set out to explore community views about COVID-19 vaccination, including barriers, facilitators, trusted messengers, and other issues affecting interest in and access to vaccination.
